A new era is coming in the Wellington house scene and this is a night that is helping to push things forward.
The night is being launched next month and is gonna be a fun monthly night pushing the idea of fun, funky music with a party vibe. More details to come….
Chilli JAM episode 17 is a monster mix of Electro tinged dancefloor bangers deliver by one of New Zealand’s dance music veterans
Greg has kindly sent us through his latest Aural Trash mix for the podcast and we are stoked with that. thanks Greg.
Greg had this to say about his mix, “I’ve gone fully against the grain of how everyone’s doing their mixes these days and did this entirely “live” on 3 CDJ’s in one single take. I don’t care if bits are out and rough sounding as the soullessness of perfection really annoys me and leaves me cold the more I hear such mixes these days”.
We say, “this is a banging mix of electro that spins through different styles like a whirlwind smashing genre boundaries”.
Enjoy.

Sandwiches and Stereotype present Klaus Hill (Ministry of Sound Australia)
If a DJ/Producer is measured by consistency then surely Klaus Hill is up there with the greatest. For over a decade Klaus has filled rooms with his trademark ball & wall tearing sound that has seen him become a firm favourite on the Australian and worldwide DJ circuit and a Producer whose sound is instantly recognisable.
Klaus Hill has honed a new sound that can only be described as fresh, wobbly and well, so Klaus it hurts! “Boombaclart” (featured on the Ministry of Sound Annual 2008) was a call to arms from a Producer who knows how to break stale formulas and create a party like no other. His “Dirt Diver” EP on ground breaking label, Potty Mouth, turned even more heads in the dance community, defying as many genres as it embraced. Support for his new sound has come from the international djing elite, including The Plump DJ’s, Micky Slim, Trevor Lovey’s, Jesse Rose and Switch.
As a resident, guest DJ or Producer the hallmarks of the Klaus run throughout when the big man of dance is involved. Unique, inspired and original, watching Klaus pogo his way through a DJ set is a sight to behold!
Klaus tours the world routinely where European and Asian audiences are thirsty for the big man to give their systems a workout. In Australia he regularly shakes the biggest rooms in the country to their foundations including institutions such as Home and Family.
With his latest productions reeking more havoc then a dingo stealing a baby, now may be a goodtime to gasp at the length and breadth of the Klaus Hill back catalogue. Take a seat; you’ll be here for a while.

Chilli JAM episode 14 will get your feet stomping and and your ear drums pumping!
This instalment of the Chilli JAM Podcast comes from ex-pat Kiwi boys (now Sydney based) Trash Disco. This is a stomping fidget/electro/bassline mix that will leave you feeling satisfied and violated and definitely make you want to party!
After recently skipping islands to Australia the boys have already made a name for themselves around Sydney, playing at some pretty decent parties and playing at a range of high profile clubs including White Revolver, Ruby Rabbit, and the Round House.
These guys have put on some pretty cool parties back in Nz, hosting Aussie DJs such as Aston Shuffle, Bass Kleff, Hook n Sling, Dan Aux, and the Bang Gang DJs, and im sure it wont be long until we see them hosting gigs on this side of the Tasman.
They have recently jacked up there own monthly show on Bondi 88Fm where you can catch their unique style of dirty, ghetto, hard, fidget, electronic beats.
Chilli JAM episode 12 is here with a pounding mix of modern electro tunes.
Chilli JAM continues to support up and coming artists here with the latest instalment being supplied by Auckland’s Devil Theory.
This is an upfront selection of big tunes with heavy basslines and loads of funk. This is defiantly a perfect warm up for the festival season guys so start rocking this now so your in the mood to smash the dance floor by NYE!!!
Definitely one to watch on the Auckland scene, 24 year old Devil Theory, a.k.a dT is one of Auckland’s up and comers with a difference. His very recent foray into production has been getting the attention of local DJs including Greg Churchill and Angela Fisken, seeing them drop his tunes on both dancefloors and their weekly radio show, Aural Trash. His well accomplished sound after only such a short time in the production world has been creating ripples in the local scene, and means there’s lots to look forward to in the near future.
His style incorporates the very best of what electro, techno and breaks have to offer, and his 6 years mixing experience means you’ll get the best of the best in any of his sets.
Enjoy.
